“We do not share SAT scores or GPAs with Facebook or TikTok, and any other third parties using pixel or cookies,”

shows clear evidence that they do, in fact, share these things

That there is fucked up. I suppose we signed our rights away before taking the test then.

Can you opt out? (not an American)

The test are not mandatory to graduate high school, but most colleges require an SAT or some equivalent to get past the application. The SAT is falling out of favor though.

After hearing this info, thank God it's falling out of favor.

Well, it's being replaced with individual placement testing. It's not exactly much better, though the insane format being gone is probably an improvement.

At this point, even something the tiniest smidge better is okay with me so long as the SAT dies.

College Board will sell your information to anyone, including your dog. That's their (lovely) business model.

A bit click-batey, they sell the data they collect on their web site when you use their search tools, not SAT or GPA data or at least not with PII attached.

At the same time, a prospective first generation college student living below the poverty line has to pay the College Board $70 to send this same data to each school they apply to.

For their own results.

For a 3/4-digit number.
