Hi,

First of all happy 10 years anniversary to Monero!

Is there active research and plans to implement Monero quantum resistance?

As far as I'm concerned I think the quantum threat is by far the most important challenge for monero.

Indeed not only becoming quantum resistant will be important but the timing is crucial.

If quantum capabilities start to skyrocket and Monero is not Quantum resistant yet, then there could start to be uncertainties about Monero supply. In fact since Monero is private, it's the only crypto whose supply is not 100% verifiable so the more we wait the more the supply uncertainty will increase and that's something that cannot be retroactively corrected.

(That's something I had covered on my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X\_waXHRovbE**)

Once the uncertainty becomes too important it will be too late, that's why I believe this is the greteast challenge and risk for Monero. It's not talked about often compared to delisting/ban talks although delisting/ban risk is not a real threat to Monero existence. Maybe focus should be on quantum.

I'm not using the Matrix server at the moment, it would be nice if someone can relay this post on the Matrix dev chat and let us know answers.

Have a great day
