If it's so important for preservation and it's supposed to use the strengths of lemmy in the world of decentralized communication, maybe it'd be wise to not host it in lemmy.world and host it somewhere else more fitting instead? lemmy.world has a history of censoring even mere discussion of piracy, which is pretty much the only functional way of archiving and preserving modern videogames at scale.
lemmy.dbzer0.com is the home of the biggest lemmy pircacy community and will probably also welcome this one with open arms
This is actually a good point. I'm not involved in the project here but I think anyone who is should consider it.
