Anyone know why they were protesting? The article sure doesn't care to say.
Which, by avoiding such a key piece of information, makes this come off as more of a warning to the general population than news. If you're going to protest something, we are going to beat you, deny you food and water, put you in solitary confinement, inhumane living conditions, and generally behave so despicably that we must ensure we keep the cameras away so they can't report on our behavior.
Land of the free, yay. /s
Despite that being a sarcasm, I'm adding this to keep people informed.
There are 2,500+ people arrested in US alone by now. https://theappeal.org/prosecutors-charges-protesters-arrested-gaza-colleges-april/
Surely some of the college kids must have rich parents who can kick up a fuss? Maybe a class action lawsuit or something?
I feel like if so then they probably aren't on those terms together. Wealth and pro-palestine don't seem to go together.
The cruelty is the point.
ACAB
ACAB
They're just bad apples. As the old saying goes: "One bad apple ~~spoils the barrel~~ is fine and the barrel is fine, nothing to worry about."
I don't necessarily believe ACAB, but I do believe there is systemic corruption among the police at large, such that a majority (but not all) of the apples in the barrel are bad.
