I personally only trust the one on here. As the person here was the previous mod of the subreddit there.
Reputation means everything. That said, always be skeptical and cautious with pirating. Even if it is from a trustable source.

It seem the pinned thread has been removed discussing the change of megathread on r/Piracy (as far as I can see), it had a link to a new megathread, stating that a mod had write access to the previous one and had started writing comments about the new mod team (though personally I could not see any such comments in the megathread)
It might have been some kind of mistake or misunderstanding then?
I am not aware. It could be that the other mod that the top mod removed had write access? Not sure.
Always be skeptical with this kind on thing and you have nothing to worry about, the megathread is a tool but not everything on there is what I'd consider good its very hit and miss
