Turns out the US is a wasteland already
Much like how half of the Last of Us show was just footage of an ordinary weekday in Calgary, AB. Just roll some film and put your actors in front of it. No need for set dressing or even getting extras, your average UCP voter looks and acts like a raider already.
Yeah those wasteland shots might as well just be anywhere in Texas outside of the big cities.
I really hope practical effects have a comeback
They should nuke the US for the next season for authentic scenes
