Do the command prompts only function in the form of haikus?
Yes! And the verbosity of error messages depends on the quality of the haiku!
I do quite like Haiku. It's not quite ~~stable~~ usable enough for me yet, but I have no doubt that I'll be using it as a daily driver in the near future.
5-7-5 is pretty stable tbh.
I think I probably meant usable. Essentially, the last time I tried it, software like LibreOffice wouldn't run and I had a few minor issues with web browsing.
It's probably been fixed, come to think of it. Maybe I'll give it another go.
Sadly I think I threw out my BeOS 5 install CD when I moved last year. For me it was a very neat tool but Linux/KDE was superior.
I knew this still existed as a port, but I didn't realize it seems to be actively maintained. Has anyone experience with the project to be able to confirm if they think that donations are spent judiciously? I already support a couple of other open-source projects and would love to kick a few bucks this way. In fact I just bought a couple of shirts from them, but that's benefitting me as much as (or more than) them, so it's a different calculus.
Free and Open Source Software
If it's free and open source and it's also software, it can be discussed here. Subcommunity of Technology.
