This is the article?

NORTH TEXAS (CBSNewsTexas.com) — Ken Paxton's impeachment trial hasn't started yet, but there is already political fallout. Not just for the attorney general, but for other Republican leaders and lawmakers as well.

When House members first heard details of the 20 articles of impeachment against Attorney General Paxton, Republican Texas Rep. Charlie Geren of Fort Worth dropped a bombshell:

"I would like to point out that several members of this House while on the floor of the House doing state business, received telephone calls from General Paxton personally threatening them with political consequences in their next election."

The whole article?

If that's all the relevant information that they have I'd prefer that they keep the article short rather than bloat it out with a bunch of repetition and speculation.

I guess I agree with that principle. I'm perhaps unfairly imagining giving more context in the article would have been a better "product".

what a heel, the Attorney General was calling members of the House - on the House floor - threatening them with political repercussions, while they were deliberating legislation that impacted him personally

Maybe they should impeach him on corruption charges... Oh wait.

It's good to see that old corrupt "good old boy" network collapse inward on itself when you remove someone who was abusing their power to defend them and the rest of the "good old boys"

PS: Do not reply.

Good for him making the right decision.

The party of personal responsibility hatez taking personal responsibility by standing in the way of law and order. Ken Paxton should be in a jail cell not as ag.

why is Texas such a great home for corruption and irresponsibility

If I were Glenn Rogers I'd climb that sign, and have a picture taken with me spraypainting "You're gosh darn right I did, Yeehaw Giddyup Lil Doggy"
