Damn Norris pulled that out of the hat. Both him and Verstappen have been a cut above the rest throughout the week

So weird to see two alpines in Q3

[-] GreenEngineering3475@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Quite suprised to see Alonso out of Q3.

[-] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 2 years ago

I am not. Aston never looked quick in the FP sessions

[-] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 2 years ago

How have V-CARB managed to go backwards

[-] GreenEngineering3475@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago

Merc lockout the second row, amazing improvement.

[-] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Frankly merc were always strong in Spain, even in 2022. They have improved massively but I still don't think they have cleared ferrari. I guess we will learn more in this triple header

[-] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Alpine too. They've made great progress since Bahrain.

[-] Microw@lemm.ee 8 points 2 years ago

When the Ferraris had done their second laps in Q3, I was like "well, guess it's Max again" with a sigh... AND THEN CAME LANDO

He has been struggling the whole weekend

[-] espentan@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Perez into Q2, with plenty of margin, too. Impressive!

[-] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 2 years ago

Still looks like the slowest of the top 4 teams

[-] espentan@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Yeah, I was absolutely being sarcastic. An Alpine just went faster than him, in Q2.

[-] GreenEngineering3475@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

and currently behind an alpine.

[-] CaptDust@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 years ago

Brilliant session, let's fuckin go Lando

[-] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 2 years ago

Yeah. Hopefully they progress through the year. Then we can have a battle throughout the grid for all positions.

Watching the post-qualifying interview. Love Sainz's chili cap.
