I have finally started a new job after a month of listlessness, but all my spare time has been sunk into Shadow of the Erdtree. So far, I'm having a good time. Lots of exploring, and have bumped off 2 remembrance bosses.

Squeezing this in here because I have only been back on checking from a long hiatus, I've beaten the first 3 Dragon Quest games on nes (my wife has documented my past few months games) (Her Post here, she's a huge fan of Tactics Ogre if you're unaware)

Final Fantasy (NES)
Mother 1
Castlevania II - Simon's Quest
Castlevania: The Adventure
Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge
Castlevania Legends
Dragon Quest I (NES)
Dragon Quest I (SNES) (decided it was too easy) (8:7 gang)
Dragon Quest II NES
Metroid
Metroid II - Return of Samus
Phantasy Star
The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II - Adventure of Link
Dragon Quest 3 NES

But I'm now working on Final Fantasy II for the nes

I just got Dragon Age: Inquisition and to be honest, it's been rather frustrating so far. The controls/camera and interface are obviously made for a gamepad and the whole MMO vibe – endless fetch quests in wide, empty spaces; rogue and wizard are the classes that do damage while warriors are supposed to take the heat – is bothering me. And common equipment at level 7 being infinitely better than rare items at level 5 is just depressing. Still, I'm hoping that the story and characters pick up soon.

Shadow of the Erdtree. It's pretty good, don't know if I'd say it slaps.

MASSIVE SPOILERS LIKE FOR REAL DON'T CLICK UNLESS YOU'RE AT THE ENDMade it to what is I think the final boss (Radahn + Miquella) and suddenly started getting just completely annihilated, so I've fucked off to get more skidoo fragments. I have fought the angory dragon and St. Trina's Rotting Boy and they were no big deal so I really think the scaling for Radquella might just be expecting level 20 blessing? Idk.

Also I lost 200k souls to falling off a ledge (and then falling off a different ledge on my way back), but I'm already level 198 so I don't really care.

Oh, also played a 3v3 3k point game of Warhammer 40k. We didn't even finish after NINE HOURS, and called it a victory for my team of space wolves-valhallans-votann (go Cold Team!) since we were up by like 20 points and the tyranid-chaos-admech alliance were looking thin on the board.

About 40 hours into a Stardew Valley run, and I forgot how fun the game was (stopped playing in 2016 or 2017). I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. There's so much in this game, I can barely believe 1 guy made it (and continues to work on it over a decade later).

Finished Bomb Rush Cyberfunk! Fun game, nice break up.

Also grabbed the demo for The Big Catch - Tacklebox, though I haven't tried it yet. Looks great for a 3D platformer!

That being said, Elden Ring is where I am spending my time. Doing a full run for the DLC, going a Strength build for now, may respec for martial arts or whatever looks cool later on.
