As a tech interested kid, thinking about buying 10 btc for 3$/btc just because i liked the idea.

But truth is, i probably would've lost the keys long ago or sold at 200$ or so

That happened to me. Bought $5 worth back in like 2010ish. Lost the keys when I upgraded to a new PC.

I guess my missed opportunity would be not backing up my pc when I bought one for $600 in 2013 and losing it to a hard drive wipe. Didn't consider it's existence when I did it because who cared at the time.

I missed an opportunity to nab a free ticket to a George Carlin show because I couldn't get the day off work. That ended up being his last tour before he died.

An older couple who wanted to retire offered to let me take over their cidery, back when I was doing a lot more homebrew.. I declined because I knew nothing about ciders, I’d have needed to relocate, and I was in my last year of college.

Big mistake turning it down, even if I would have needed to relocate. I haven’t been properly stable since.

Please don't be too harsh on yourself, you don't actually know that it would have been a good idea, it is impossible to say if it would have been better or not.

You took the logical route, finnishing your education, which opened other doors for you.

I tend to see life as a game where you are given a set of playing cards at birth, you gradually take over control of your deck as you grow up.

You play your individual cards with the knowledge you have, and every play can give you even better cards to use later.

You have no idea if you are about to get your next break, you can only play your cards with the knowledge you have.

Yeah, I know. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, I just roll with it. But I do regret not taking up a lot of the opportunities that I didn’t realize were worthwhile opportunities. I have a tendency to screw myself over, it is what it is. :)

I had nearly 4 Bitcoin in early 2017, when they were worth about $1,600 a piece.

And I sold them all approximately 3 months before they became worth $10,000 a piece and approximately 8 months before they became worth $40,000 a piece.

And I'm not sad about it, I made profit off of them, but it does make me a little bit morose and that I could have had 160,000 instead of $6,000 by simply waiting about 8 more months.

My mom let all her kids go to school while living at home and paying very little towards bills. I really wanted to, but my older siblings convinced me not to. They couldn't drive, so they'd have to drop out, and it's not fair for the younger one to go to school first. But if I wait my turn, they'll be able to help me.

Yeahhhh, my turn never came. I got disillusioned and moved out. I could never afford to go to school now. I don't think any of them ever used their degrees anyway.

Every day I wish I'd told them to shove it, and done what I wanted to do.
