How are those sanctions doing Western world?
Wait until Huawei starts exporting those chips.
haha yeah once China ramps up production, it's gonna be the same story as EVs
They're still using DUV lithography to produce those chips last I heard, which is going to increase manufacturing costs, time, and decrease capacity. And also severely limit how much they can improve until they have indigenous EUV machines. So far, only one company hasqnaged to successfully produce production ready EUV machines and it was a huge effort spanning many countries and an unbelievable amount of scientists, engineers, technicians, and many other workers. If anyone can do it, it's China. But the scenario is very different from EVs where China already has the most advanced manufacturing technologies and a mature industry. I think it's gonna take a few years if not decades until China achieves dominance in cutting edge semi manufacturing.
With the amount of engineers and scientists returning to China from the west due to its incredible racism, the know-how is already there. They’re not starting from scratch, but building on what has already been done as every other human has ever done. I think you’ll be surprised at the pace of their progress when we see results.
There's "first-mover advantage", but "second-mover advantage" is a thing too.
Quail cum chips? Someone tell Mr. Jingling we have barbecue chips here in America
