I literally just deleted my account . Fuck threads, IG, FB, Meta and Zuck.

Nuke it on your own ! Much more satisfying!

I smell an anti-trust lawsuit in their future.

I unfortunately found the same thing out too when I closed my AWS account and lost my regular Amazon account. Took quite a long time for support to help undo that one.

Throw in your Facebook account and you have a deal. One stop shop to purge your data out of the company formerly known as Facebook.

You are not purging the data tho... They just cut you off lol

My guess is it's a bug being described as a feature, but it's still really bad. Fuck Zuck!

Threads uses your Instagram account. I they aren’t two seperate things, it’s a single account.

This will in no way cause consumers to become angry and absolutely will not cause a giant headache and back pedaling for Meta.

That all surprisingly sounds reasonable.

Now we need another new term to describe this latest stupidly ugly dynamic, when corporations don't simply enshittify their social media sites but then actually retaliate against users who try to defy them.
