It depends on how many machines and how many sites. Companies like Walmart and Home Depot could be in trouble. I don't actually know if they use Crowdstrike

They updated a cloud security service and managed to break a huge part of the Internet by making software inoperable.

Not just inoperable as they made the machines unusable and unfixable (at least remotely)
