Would be great to be able to post gifs straight from the keyboard. Currently greyed out and gives a message of this app does not support gifs here

Oh I would love for this to work. Ideally, it doesn't upload the picture and embeds it from the original source.

Edit - coulda sworn it works, so I tested it... Then I realized I'm a dumbass, and this thread is about Boost...

As a workaround, I did the following

Tap the emoji icon
Navigate to the GIF tab
Find a gif, tap on it once, and press the external icon on the bottom of the gif
Paste the link in this format

I'd love to see this supported as well. Reddit didn't support images / gifs in the post but Lemmy does
