Hey Jill Stein, why is completely pulling out of NATO part of your otherwise almost 100% sensible progressive platform

JILL STEIN COME BACK

ALSO WHY IS IT #2 ON CORNEL WEST’S WISHLIST, that’s super incongruous in relation to literally everything else about him, do you happen to know anything about that

COME BACK

ANSWER ME

I like how her solution to Russia/Ukraine is literally "if everyone else just leaves it will sort of solve itself". That's a direct quote.

If there’s one thing that’s connected with success in a management role, it is blind cockeyed optimism combined with ignorance of the issues involved and a preference for simple one-sentence solutions. Literally never seen it go wrong, in government or war or business or anything else.

By "everyone else leave and it will solve itself" she means "Russia will conquer Ukraine and my paymaster Putin will be happy."

As a manager who regularly has to clean up other manger's bullshit because of exactly that... I fucking hate other managers. Especially "project" managers.

A close second is the bean counters that keep sending me "recommendations" to fuck over our employees to save a buck to become more profitable, despite the fact that our branch (and specifically my accounts) are the most profitable nationally. (yes, even compared to accounts that take that advice...)

Because Nato should have been dismantled after the Cold War?

The Warsaw Pact was dismantled. Why wasn't Nato?

Hey Jill Stein!

Why did you enjoy your dinner with criminals, a traitor, and a dictator who illegally invaded a sovereign nation and is currently doing a speed run on all the war crimes?

Why do parties run candidates in their seventies or eighties and think we’ll take them seriously?

[-] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 23 points 3 months ago

Her age is beside the point. She’s basically a Russian-aligned spoiler candidate.

That’s not hyperbole. One of her primary policy positions is to withdraw the US from NATO. The only people who really want that, and also understand the full implications of that, are people who are helping Russia for one reason or another.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 10 points 3 months ago

That part should be obvious to everyone.

It’s just really fun pointing out how old Stein and Trump are.

Hmmm. I thought she was going to look for a Palestinian running mate.

I wonder if she couldn't find one.
