Most people have settled on TorrentGalaxy, 1337x, Rutracker, etc. Or work your way into private torrent trackers, they were always better than RARBG anyway.

1337x and torrentgalaxy.to are my go-to public trackers nowadays

Searching through that app still requires a plugin, and all the plugins I saw just seemed to be related to specific sites anyway - so you might as well just search on those sites.

Or is there a plugin that stands out over the rest?

[-] 00@kbin.social 7 points 1 year ago

No, but searching five sites at once from inside the application is simply a better and more time effective solution.

[-] fuklu@lemmy.fmhy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Can use prowlarr or jackett for that as well, but takes more setup

[-] ShadowRunner@kbin.social 0 points 1 year ago

Understandtable, but if that's all it is, then there are already aggregate search websites.

RARBG really left a big hole in my heart.

[-] darcy@sh.itjust.works 15 points 1 year ago

i use 1337x.to and its convenient, but not too sure how safe it is

[-] what@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 1 year ago

Not as well curated as rarbg, but a pretty good site

[-] CmdrShepard@lemmy.one 4 points 1 year ago

My main issue is they report false seed counts. I don't think I've gotten anything too nefarious from them using radarr/sonarr. Definitely not as good as RARBG though.

[-] pirate526@kbin.social 7 points 1 year ago

I’ve used it for years, it’s solid. Mostly good quality and some very reliable uploaders.

[-] jeanofthedead@kbin.social 8 points 1 year ago

The best alternative is Real-Debrid 😉

[-] spiritusmaximus@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Does it have same or similar interface?

Rarbg had screens for every release, good search, lists of new movies and popular ones, also had amazing rips from rarbg.

Not sure if real-debrid has all of that...

[-] athos77@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago

I haven't used it (I use private trackers), but try TheRarBg.com

[-] brickfrog@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I know those site admins like to spam Reddit but beyond that I can't tell why people recommend it. The team behind it are the same people that run tons of proxy sites essentially pretending to be 1337x, TPB, etc.

In other words that site is essentially a 1337x mirror with the word "RARBG" in the name. I looked at the first page of their "Recent Torrents" and they are all from 1337x.

Not to mention the ads are insane there, most normal people won't even be able to do anything there LOL.

And they link a non-functional RSS page while the real RARBG had an awesome RSS feed. If they had that I'd cut them some slack, it'd be a 1337x mirror with a working RSS feed at least. (the actual 1337x has no RSS feeds)

Where can one obtain private trackers from?

[-] brickfrog@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Keep an eye on !opensignups@lemmy.ml and/or https://opentrackers.org

Maybe also monitor the invites thread at !trackers@lemmy.dbzer0.com though I'm not too sure how active that'll be.

EDIT: Fixed links

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using an URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !trackers@opentrackers.org

Maybe also monitor the invites thread at [

[-] BiomedOtaku@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 year ago

You either have to know someone that's in one already and get an invite or wait till they have open registration/recruitment. You can always search up which trackers have an open sign up through a simple search.

rarbg.best

It is completely using the database of RARBG, and the release time is also based on the original time of RARBG.

No garbage content from other sites was added inside. Currently.
