Here the regs are pretty restrictive about how big your drone can be without a licence. Something like 400 grams. People skirt it a lot
is it the same for ground drones? i want a rideable (driveable?) robo-dog SO BADLY
I think those come under light vehicle classification, and thus you'd be looking at the laws for small tractors etc. I can't remember what the weight limits on those are though. Quite low, it's just above motor cycles (which have their own licencing quagmire).
