Usually caused by a terminally stupid YT AI that delivers only one or two interesting videos on the start page.
That's intentional. Variable reward schedule, just like every other algorithm.

Subscriptions page or bust
This was the very last post on my Lemmy front page, which says something, I think
pretty bleak using the youtube frontpage at all
The worst is when it just keeps showing only 5 videos and refreshing just reorders how those 5 videos appear on the page.
