the format of displaying the murder even before the credits. the quirkiness.. almost feigned ignorance.

that said it is different enough to be unique. the character is much more charismatic.. theres all that backstory included with the murder-of-the-week. comedy is up a notch.

im only half way through the season, but its kinda great!

I wanted to like Eslbeth... I liked her character in the good fight, but I found the new show too repetitive.

Did you watch Poker Face? I think it was a much better interpretation of columbo

ive never actually watched the source shows good wife/good fight.

columbo was repetitive. elsbeth is actually less so with all that backstory/seasonal arc that columbo never had. but i dont consider that a negative for this genre.

im really enjoying all the celeb cameos too, something columbo also excelled at

i have not seen poker face, but im grabbin it now to take a look. thanks!

If you like character driven drama, The Good Fight is phenomenal. The good wife is decent, but you don't need to watch it first.

Poker Face is awesome and definitely rooted in Colombo

I don’t have anything to add to this, except my mother was going to name me Elsbeth. I’m glad she didn’t, but this is the first time I’ve come across that name in the wild in my entire life (almost 40).

I’m surprised we haven’t had a “The Good Judge” spin-off with one of the former lawyer actors yet.

it definitely looks better than that Zachary Quinto circle jerk medical drama.
