How did they get the mountains and water to be on the side like that?

The government doesn't share its secrets..

I guess Lemmy has a problem with sideways pics because it's happened to me too. Or maybe Colorado is just sideways @_@

[-] BaltSkigginsThe3rd@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Aw, it posted sideways, which is funny because the post of the mines in mayflower gulch (that is also sideways) is what inspired me to post this 🤦‍♂️

[-] LilDumpy@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

My picture I posted earlier uploaded sideways too.. :(

I understand your pain and confusion

What app and OS? There’s an issue where iOS stores the image orientation in the photo’s EXIF data but Lemmy scrubs all of that for privacy purposes. Fixed in Liftoff! a couple of days ago (I hope) 😀

[-] BaltSkigginsThe3rd@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Idk about the person who replied to me but I have android and I'm using Liftoff myself.

[-] mykl@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Oooh. I was under the impression that this was only an iOS issue so limited my change to that branch. I’ll check in with the Android team. If you could tell me what phone model and OS version you are on, that would really help.

Galaxy s22 is my phone and my software version is android 13 I think. I'm not too sure if that's what you were looking for but i can grab other info if you need.

[-] mykl@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

No that’s exactly what I needed. It should be an easy fix, thanks.

[-] Stamau123@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I just tried the trick of editing a pic slightly and saving it and it worked

[-] Stamau123@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Colorado just grows sideways, have you not see Red Rocks?

[-] pacology@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Good picture. Thanks for sharing.

If I spin my phone fast enough, I can see the picture right side up so it’s not a problem that it’s sideways.

[-] BaltSkigginsThe3rd@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

This is exactly why auto-rotate is the devil

[-] mykl@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

On iOS I guess? See my other reply.

[-] netvor@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

First I wanted to downvote because the picture is sideways, but then I realized I'm wrong and the picture is perfectly right.

See, I'm in Czech Republic and this is in Colorado, so... it's about right.

I actually just summited james peak the other day

[-] BaltSkigginsThe3rd@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I did James Peak for the first time last year myself! Super pretty and fun mountain.
