Tbh I believe it was an error. Some of the stuff being shown was extremely old. Like "go see the new spider verse movie coming soon"

Xbox does not have full screen ads.
Not intentional and an error for sure, but a planned "feature" for sure.
Ad-hell is definitely gonna get worse.
I mean, YouTube is working on the whole "Ads during paused videos" thing.
You can be damned sure the "console commanders" are like-minded in their plans for your home-entertainment devices.
