(coming here from New) Has his different approach really changed all that much? TOT always had a good strong team and Madisson may even be the signing of the summer. Would it not be more likely that the team regressing to the mean after the troubles of last season?
Well, Ange is all about sustainable change.
"One aspect Spurs insiders have picked up on with Postecoglou is that, unlike predecessor Antonio Conte, he is committed to transforming the culture of the club, even if that means ripping things up and starting again."
Add Scott Munn and a new DoF into the mix, and the refreshed and vibrant squad, and fans who are fully supportive, it gives us a strong chance for lasting, sustainable success.
Gotta say, Ange's leadership style takes a lot of queues from David Marquet's "intent-based leadership" as seen in Turn the Ship Around.
From the Athletic article:
"Giving his colleagues a sense of ownership and responsibility is a key tenet of Postecoglou’s leadership philosophy, and this extends to other departments as well. Be it masseurs, analysts or any employee, Postecoglou will not interfere, trusting that they know their area of expertise a lot better than he does.
”Equally, though, they know he will have their back and not throw them under the bus in public."
What I like so much about this is how the Santa Fe went from being the worse submarine in the fleet to not only the best, but the best with the best rating the inspectors had ever seen.
Carry on Ange. 👍
