That's exactly what this is. It is Israel's final solution after 80+ years of pograms against Palestinians.

countries will have to reckon—media agencies will have to reckon—with their major role in the genocide

"Hey, we maybe got it wrong, moving on we will never talk of this again."

The reason why the world does not get better is that it is too easy for humans to refuse to learn from their mistakes. If another false dossier about Weapons of Mass Destruction came out about a country that it would be cool to go and blow up, as happened with Bush and Blair and Iraq, I don't think enough people would learn from the past to put a stop to it. It's more 'patriotic' to just go with the flow.

Oh, but they had a pentagon under that one hospital! That's why Israel bombed it. And then bombed all the other hospitals for good measure. Schools too. Oh, and those UN workers. And journalists. And ambulances. All had a mini pentagon in them.

Didn't you see the dossier and the video footage published by the news media from that one time we let them film exactly where we pointed them to film, after we had set it all up for them?

Usually because one or a few people profit one way or another by helping everyone forget the lessons.
