"German police unable to deal with upset teenage girl."

Was much easier before

[-] Crashumbc@lemmy.world 13 points 22 hours ago

Is she even a teenager anymore?

Yeah, you're right. She's 21.

Fuck. Getting old is so easy.

It’s amazing to see someone dedicate their life to such noble causes from a young age.

Like typical a sorrowful display from Germany.

I've read about it in a German article and the explanation is that it's something different to be demonstrating for Palestine or to be pro Hamas. The latter one is the reason Greta Thunberg is criticized.

I don't know what her view on Hamas is, but I'd be surprised if it were positive. Everyone protesting Israel's genocide is accused of being pro Hamas 100 times a second, so I think that explanation is weak on its face.

I just repeated what the article in Germany says. There is no point to downvote me for giving context.

German Fridays for Future considers renaming themselves to distantiate themselves from Greta, too.

Maybe all that is not as simple as people say.

I didn't down vote you, for what it's worth. I just felt like adding my two cents. Every time someone criticizes Israel they get accused of being pro Hamas, so that's why I'm skeptical of that particular claim. That's all.

It's very probable that someone at the protest showed a symbol that is banned in Germany. Here is the list of banned Islamist organizations in Germany: https://www.verfassungsschutz.de/DE/themen/islamismus-und-islamistischer-terrorismus/verbotene-organisationen/verbotene-organisationen_artikel.html

Confirmation that the protests are working.

When is Germany ever going to be on the right side of the history?

Visigoths actually originated in Scandanavia. Happiest countries in the world. They are probably still pleased with themselves about sacking Europe.
