Watching glue dry (sh.itjust.works)

I was fixing some toys of my 5 year old and he asked me if he could watch the glue dry... I told him "son, that's like watching grass grow ๐Ÿ˜’"... his reaction, "really ๐Ÿ˜ฑ... can I go in the backyard?", me "yeah, sure, I guess ๐Ÿคฆ ๐Ÿ˜‚".

He's still there... sitting on the ground, watching... asking every 2 minutes if the grass is any taller ๐Ÿคฃ.

Go out every day with a ruler or a tape measure and take a picture with a measurement. He might not notice or remember the daily growth but after a a few weeks there should be a noticable difference if the climate of your area is still warm enough.

Oh, that's a nice idea, I'll do that, thanks ๐Ÿ˜Š.

You could mark one of the blades with red or blue paint so that you know you're measuring the same one every time.

Don't let him inhale too much

Oh, I told him, he's very conscious of his health. He's lactose intolerant and never eats anything at parties or gatherings before asking ๐Ÿ˜Š.

That's amazing! You can surly leverage it into an educational activity. Meanwhile enjoy the silence!

Yeah, patience. That's not his strong suite ๐Ÿ˜‚. Though most kids are like that, but he is very impatient to be honest.

Enjoying it, having a cup of coffee ๐Ÿ˜Š.

I loved the plant unit in elementary school. We had a planter with glass on the side, and for the first week or so everyone would rush to check how the seeds were doing. Then we got bored until the first seed sprouted.

This channel can be fun, it shows a timelapse of how different plants grow: https://www.youtube.com/@Boxlapse

I just planted two trays of grass seeds for our guinea pigs.

While waiting for them to sprout over the last few days, I have been quite literally watching the grass grow.

When I saw the sprouts appeared this morning, it was much more exciting than I had been led to believe.
