I'm usually not one to splurge for collector's editions of games, let alone controllers, and I never bought any console covers, but I couldn't pass up on the FF XVI limited edition controller / covers (at a very close to MSRP price).
Needless to say I'm super happy with my purchases, haha :)
I really hope we'll see more limited edition console covers in the future (provided they don't all get scalped in a matter of minutes...).

Both were Japan exclusives. I figured I could either play the scalpers' game and pay a premium upfront or try to grab them later from Japanese secondhand websites, which is what I ended up doing (via a proxy).
It was exclusive to their sweepstakes. OP got super lucky!

I wanted to get it but apperently no fishing minigame. In 15 i spent hours fishing and camping. Not for a goal just to relax

I most certainly did not! I actually probably will keep the controller in its box as I use the Edge 99% of the time, but I'll keep the console covers on, they look too good to be kept in a box imo.
That’s sick. XVI is such a strong game with some really sick design. Since I’m just simply not a fan of the Ps5 design, this really helps it.
