Okay, this is corny but I love it. I personally refer to my stepladder as my “not-my-real ladder” all the time.
It may not be your real ladder but it still raised you.

My ladder is a broken mess that I've had to maintain and nurture for many years .... they're still in my garage and I'll never let them go.
