If they block access to the originals, and also release the remaster in a miserable state, like what happened with 3R, they can keep it

No, only remasters of the remakes while remastering a remastered remake.
I’m pretty excited about that! I loved Warcraft II and never got into any of the warcrafts that came after though, and haven’t had great experiences with Wc2 on modern hardware.
So I’d probably pay for a remaster.
Don't be too excited, these are the same people that made Warcraft 3 reforged, that one remaster that made everything worse.
