It's kind of misleading as they are not new accounts, but just existing Instagram users.
Also how many accounts are bots? Probably a large amount.
Users aren’t just signing up: they’re posting, too. As of Thursday, my colleague Alex Heath reported that there have already been more than 95 million posts and 190 million likes shared on the app.
Even looking past the number of signups, that’s a lot of engagement in less than a week.
Lucky to be not one of them.
This headline means jack shit after hearing that they just migrated over people's existing Instagram and Facebook accounts. This makes it seem like it's tendy when the company behind it simply moved people over to the platform without their consent and in some cases without their knowledge.
If that were true wouldn’t they have a billion users already?
Isn't it users that voluntarily tried to use the app? Instagram still has far more downloads. Almost everyone I follow on Instagram seems to have also given it a try at least once. I tried it and realised platforms of that style aren't for me anyway (never cared for twitter either).
