Why does my mind go directly to suicide as the actual “gift”?
Because suicide rates go up during the holidays.

surely there's a business for imitations that are fully accurate aside from the actual firing mechanisms (and thus significantly cheaper)?
Yea Taurus makes a few good revolvers I've been interested in that use 357 and 38sp. I might just have to wait until the universe drops the opportunity in my lap. It's worked for the last few firearms.
