I think most high level players only play 1-2 games in summer league anyway, so this isn't surprising to me at all

To be fair, I'm surprised he played at all. There's nothing to gain from this and it only risks injury.

These aren't the players or the system that he's going to be using during the regular season.

If he's your guy, he's your guy. He has nothing to prove at this level.

Wouldn't be surprised if they were sitting him out BECAUSE he had a good game. They saw the reactions of the other game and decided not to risk any more bad press.
