Waah! It’s still almost two months away! (Just went back to 200% scaling because of some fuzz and weirdness here and there that most people probably wouldn't bother noticing)
@kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social as currently I’m daily driving plasma / kde desktop I would like to contribute development (bug fixing etc. ) is there a documentation for how to setup development environment for plasma desktop itself?
@umurgdk @kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social In large part setting up development environment for KDE Plasma is the same as for other KDE software and you can start with instructions here:
https://develop.kde.org/docs/getting-started/building/help-dependencies/
Some starting info specific to Plasma starts here:
https://develop.kde.org/docs/getting-started/building/kde-builder-compile/#plasma
KDE

Plasma 6 Bugs
If you encounter a bug, proceed to https://bugs.kde.org, check whether it has been reported.
If it hasn't, report it yourself.
PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING HERE.
Developers do not look for reports on social media, so they will not see it and all it does is clutter up the feed.
