I play Cities: Skylines 2 on Windows, because of shared GPU memory with my Nvidia GPU on Windows.

Looks like next year you will have to fire up a windows VM and play a game for 5 minutes, and then safely return to the warm embrace of your cosy Linux system.

Even better,
Maybe I will find a friend, owning a steamdeck, and play vastly for 5min.

Mine is pretty sad. I only played Palworld and had 2 other games I just started and never bothered continuing because they were bad.

But I did get a Wii U this year, and I played all the Zelda games there, and I tracked down all kingdom hearts games on the consoles they were originally released and played them all in release order as well!

Man, I should totally get an excel with my games.

Any reason you didn’t play kingdom hearts on Steam? I’ve been playing it on my Steam Deck and it works flawlessly and the HD ports are the final mix versions that only released in Japan on PS2.

I just wanted to continue where I left off 21 years ago. I borrowed Kingodom Hearts from a friend and never left the Destiny Islands. And I know I would have played all of them that way if I would have finished it back then, so I kept that personal narrative going.

And no, I did not play the final mix versions.

The Mac I take with me when I’m not home. Thankfully I haven’t had to use Windows in years.

My play plateform looks similar to yours. I only play a bit on my work computer during breaks which has Windows on it. But this will change next year, since I received my SteamDeck. I can totally forget about playing on Windows now!

It'll be 100% Linux next year for me. Windows running on physical hardware is no longer allowed in my house.

[-] StarlightDust@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 5 months ago

Mine says 53% Windows even though I exclusively use Linux. Maybe Wine misreported things.

Oh huh. Interesting. I guess my pie charts don't make sense either based on when in the year I switched to Linux exclusively. 🤔
