I've never needed this. But I feel like those for witch this is mind blowing could also have paid a couple of bucks for a clamp from the hardware store and put that in their luggage.

They're using the clip on a hangar to hold some curtains shut, I think? I guess a certain type of curtains hotels like to buy has a tendency to not quite close the gap completely?
