When I worked in a city with a warm climate I liked it. Now that I work from home in the suburbs and a cold climate I hate it.

[-] toynbee@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

I enjoy it even more! I'm sorry you don't get to anymore.

I have a sun lamp and take pills to potentially avoid SAD.

[-] Atomic@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

Or summer.

Wake up sun is out.

Go to bed sun is out.

Wake up middle of the "night", sun is out.

Fun fact: the UK and a big chunk of Europe is far enough north that some days in summer never have proper nights, only twilight

[-] superkret@feddit.org 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

And it stretches further south than most people think.
The line where there's still measurable and visible twilight at midnight on June 21 is south of Paris.

Work indoors in a room with no windows.

[-] boaratio@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

[-] HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 month ago

[-] AI_toothbrush@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 month ago

Lol 6? More like 3. But i am a flashlight enthusiast so there are upsides. Also february is just so fucking beautiful.

[-] KSPAtlas@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 month ago

Tf it just became 6PM as I saw this

[-] MossyFeathers@pawb.social 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Ah, yes, noon.

Nah, jk, sun doesn't go down until 7pm here. However I wanna live in a place where the sun doesn't come up during the winter and doesn't go down during the summer. That seems like it'd be a really cool experience.

[-] iAvicenna@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

6? That is generous.

[-] 5in1k@lemm.ee 5 points 1 month ago

I love it when the snow is on the ground and it is dark but you can see well and I can say hi to the moon.

[-] FilthyShrooms@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Nah, winter fans are inside with a warm drink

[-] hungryphrog@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 month ago

What tropic do you live in where the sun sets as late as 6?

[-] Kusimulkku@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

But there's skiin, skating and places just look nice with some snow. I like it

[-] ExcessShiv@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 month ago

We just have the cold, wet and windy winters here...still dark of course with 9am sunrise and 3:30pm sunset. Hardly ever any snow, but still right around freezing.
