Oh if only Proton could learn this power!

[-] Stovetop@lemmy.world 67 points 2 months ago

Unfortunately, the average Mastodon user is generally opposed to Trump apologists.

Proton has just left Mastodon, probably because too many people called them out on the CEO's views.

Weird how the reaction is almost always "NUH UH BETTER DOUBLE DOWN REALLY HARD" and almost never "wow a lot of people think this way, maybe I should find out why"

[-] Pika@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 months ago

Fully agree, but also after an event the extent that CEO did, that's going to be held over their head for years to come. The easiest way to get it out of the air is stopping the constant engagement that's encouraging it. Mastodon was a pretty large source of that.

Been a long time since I stopped finding that funny.

Not everyone succumbs to peer-pressure like you do.

Good on them. People like you need to understand that brow beating is not the way to get what you want and doesn't make you right.

Brb, I must warn my ancestors of 1789 that they should have overthrown the monarchy by discussing politely rather than by cutting off the king's head and fighting his henchmen

Yeah! They were so close to start fixing things!

Fun, I just downloaded their browser on one of my linux machines and I have been liking it so far.

[-] scytale@lemm.ee 21 points 2 months ago

I’m surprised they weren’t already on there.

[-] ripcord@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

It's like 4 guys for the most part, so they may just have limited bandwidth.

Seems like they prefer more thread-focused conversations.

[-] terminhell@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

One of the best, for the time.

I remember for some time following a LibreWolf community that was hosted on Lemmy from my Mastodon account and wondering why all the LibreWolf team was doing was reposting Lemmy comments (some of which I'd already seen on Lemmy). Then I figured out what was going on, now I know a lot more about ActivityPub. :D

[-] mesamunefire@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Yep everyone can post everywhere. As long as its fedi!

[-] cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 2 months ago

we just need a foxkeh-ified version of the librewolf logo now
