I can't speak for other organizations but for me it's a god sent. No more email which is usually 90% useless junk and only 10% actual useful relevant information. With Slack, yeah sometimes people try to open an unannounced huddle (which I ignore) or ping when it's not needed (idem) but mostly it means very few meetings, very few phone calls and not many mails which is a blessing.
