Curious on everyone’s thoughts on Uzi’s latest.
Personally, I could’ve done without the rage tracks (and the System of a Down cover). That being said, the remainder of the album felt like a solid Uzi project - some really excellent highs, but some mediocre tracks thrown in as well. Ultimately, I feel that’s to be expected of most 1.5 hr albums. I do appreciate the experimental tracks, and some of the more psychedelic, toned down tracks compliment the higher energy sections well.
Moving forward, I’d love more concise LPs with a clear, experimental theme, which I feel Uzi is capable of delivering. In fact, pretty sure if you cut this album to around 10 tracks, you’d have exactly that. Very much a numbers game at this point in the streaming world, and I doubt we could all agree on the perfect 10 track listing anyways.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone!
Travis really has the means to push the boundaries of rap music with this one, given his following and hype buildup around this thing.
REALLY hoping it’s more on the experimental/concept side and not a basic push for numbers. Seeing he’s been working with Rubin is an awesome sign, shows he’s not just looking to surround himself with yes men
