It's a tough problem to solve! It's definitely beyond my expertise.

Love to see these results!

I'm watching Oppenheimer next week at the Universal IMAX on 70mm. THRILLED

Good question! It's probably the most psychologically damaging job out there.

Ironically, maybe with AI? But that would mean we would have to train a model to recognize the worst images and videos possible...which means gathering all of that data...which means whomever trains that model will be scarred...actually, maybe not a good idea...

To be honest, this isn't an AI problem, but a content moderation and labor force ethics problem. You can swap out AI with social media and you'll find the same amount of psychological harm to moderators.

It takes time. I’m ten years into my career as a cinematographer and I still feel like I haven’t achieved “it” yet.

The DGA just came to a deal averting a strike, per the Verge.

According to Verge, 41% of eligible voting DGA members voted on the new contract. Of those who voted, 87% said yes to the contract.

I don’t understand, as in it slows down?

It was his last update before changing leadership. IDK what the status will be after that.

Just tried Limbo, though, and loving it!

Thank you! Bookmarking right now.

Mlem is no longer on testflight, they just announced a change in leadership, so hopefully it continues with development. Seems like it will, given their announcement: https://beehaw.org/post/693759

In early July 2008, Samuel Alito stood on a riverbank in a remote corner of Alaska. The Supreme Court justice was on vacation at a luxury fishing lodge that charged more than $1,000 a day, and after catching a king salmon nearly the size of his leg, Alito posed for a picture. To his left, a man stood beaming: Paul Singer, a hedge fund billionaire who has repeatedly asked the Supreme Court to rule in his favor in high-stakes business disputes.

Singer was more than a fellow angler. He flew Alito to Alaska on a private jet. If the justice chartered the plane himself, the cost could have exceeded $100,000 one way.

Best Prequels? (beehaw.org)

I'm shooting a movie currently and after a conversation with my director we realized that we couldn't think of a single prequel that we liked. However, we both agreed that there has to be at least one.

What do you think? Are there any good prequels?

The first thing that came to mind, after the fact, was The House of the Dragon the Game of Thrones prequel.
