For their sake, I hope they've read one of those posts of advice for this situation or otherwise have a good plan. Their life getting fucked seems the more likely outcome, though.

Not just on the internet, either. If you really want to drive yourself crazy, pay attention to each time you see an advertisement in real life, and imagine if instead there was a piece of artwork in that spot. How would that change how you feel in that moment?

That was my first Discworld book also. Good times. Terry Pratchett was an amazing writer and a great human in general.

Why would Hamas surrender? This is great for them. They need war to justify their existence, and they don't care about the civilians of Gaza much more than the IDF does.

Exactly. In concept, a judge can order psychological treatment, which should come from trained medical professionals. In practice, the US carceral state doesn't have a good track record of improving the lives of people who fall into its grasp.

Not legal, unfortunately.

The Taft–Hartley Act amended the 1935 National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), adding new restrictions on union actions and designating new union-specific unfair labor practices. Among the practices prohibited by the Taft–Hartley act are jurisdictional strikes, wildcat strikes, solidarity or political strikes, secondary boycotts, secondary and mass picketing, closed shops, and monetary donations by unions to federal political campaigns.

Command and Conquer 3. I'm not very familiar with the series but I'm enjoying it, at least now that I figured out why the campaign was so hard. Apparently they patched the game balance after release with multi-player in mind and didn't consider the consequences for single-player. So after a small mod to restore the original resource gather rates, the game is a great time.

The lawsuit is cool and all, but one of the other articles in my feed is that one billion people are expected to die due to climate change over the next century, and this idiot wants to increase oil and coal production.
