School uniforms are a terrible concept in every way.

It's salmon, you can eat that thing raw if you like, like beef too, just that with salmon you have to fully freeze it once to kill potential parasite worms.

Facebooks only reason to make Threads a ActivityPub compatible application is likely to not be considered a so called gatekeeper by the EU. That's all. No secret plot to destroy the fediverse.

The main thing I worry about is that Instagram users get into the fediverse, and they are just so incredibly bland. What kind of people think posting a picture of their face while being on some place is peak social interaction.

There are people who cook wet meat? I mean there are people who do not know that baking soda is a wonderful tenderizer.

On Kbin, users can block whole servers, but also subscribe to whole servers.

Actually there is now a fix, https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ansible/pull/114
But it seems that instances that update to the latest RC do not just automatically get that fix into their nginx config. I have worked with a instance owner and he had to, despite updating, manually update the config. After that federation worked again.

They did not answer to that question. But, lemmy.ml is run by the same tankies that develop Lemmy and also run lemmygrad so probably some tankie logic.

Lemmy.ml blocks any kbin instance on purpose by blocking the kbinBot User-Agent

Something we really should not take to kbin and lemmy is mods like this, spez can keep such mods.

Kbin is much more polished already. While lemmy is more or less a clone of old reddit, kbin is more like modern reddit just without the suck. Also, both are compatible.

Both Lemmy and kbin are reddit-like link aggregators. They are to a extend straight copies of what reddit is now, or what reddit was in the past.
In the same way that Mastodon is without any doubt made to be like twitter.

It is only natural that people who liked aspects of reddit would want to see the same aspects here. That does not mean that we need to copy everything, we now have the chance to do things reddit did not.
