Yes but no, I meant in society overall. In my group of friends some use vim but weirdly even some rhel-admins stuck with nano. I've yet to meet someone using emacs irl, but i haven't been looking either :P

B-but... i don't like people. Self checkout helps me avoid them. Besides do you want to move items over the register for >8h a day? Me neither.

It also helps the economy to build houses and demolish immediately them afterwards (creates demand for building materials and jobs), that doesn't mean it makes sense. "The economy" is something the bourgeois made up to brainwash people to think exploitation is a good thing.

It's kinda like using chromium instead of chrome, isn't it? Don't use either; use firefox.

No idea what the editor equivalent would be though... Emacs or vim maybe? Next to noone uses it, but it has so much more potential, if only it where widely adopted.

Neither did I but can confirm he meant to write this here. I'm inclined to concurr with his initial assessment.
