I've been using a 3rd party client to access posts on Lemmy. I loved the experience back when Reddit allowed 3rd party apps. But I felt the feed was a bit........one sided.

I figured it was just because I was new to Lemmy, but then I sorted posts by New.

Nothing but trans anime porn. It's like the only people that came to Lemmy were the people that got kicked out of Reddit circles because all they could think about was trans anime porn.

Maybe I signed up on the wrong instance? But I don't think that's the problem.

How are so many people trying to treat Lemmy as a balanced alternative to Reddit?

I have friends that used to go to Disney 2-3 times a year. They did not live in Florida. They used to spend so much money to go multiple times a year.

They are now declaring bankruptcy.

Going to Disney is just keeping up with the Joneses.

I was trying to fix my Dad's PS3 (he recently passed away) nothing was working, so I connected the HDD from the PS3 into my PC. Upon plugging in the SATA cable, the entire PC shut off. I unplugged the HDD, but now when I power on the PC, the fans just run at max speed and nothing else happens. I don't know how to troubleshoot this problem.

I've never been able to afford such an up-to-date card. I know it's not the latest and greatest, but it's the best I have ever been able to afford!

I once sent an email to the President of Engineering to justify tuition reimbursement.

I told him that my ASS (should have been AAS) has been extremely beneficial to both the company and myself and I would like to take the next step and get my BSME.

He never responded.

My MIL is this kind of extrovert. She assumes that if someone isn't constantly talking to her that they hate her.

Exactly! Additionally, the visual cues that are obviously being used paint a very different picture.

Propaganda isn't really difficult. It just requires a predisposed audience.

The most important lesson I have learned throughout my career is that large corporations are not worth working for. Too much "HR" interference.

The best work environments I have ever been a part of is when I worked for smaller businesses that were still made up of actual people and not nameless/faceless/soulless "corporate HR departments", who's sole purpose is to "make corpo more money no matter the means".

Question: why the FUCK do you want to work for a Catholic employer if you aren't Catholic (aka follow the doctrine of the Catholic Church)?!

I can pretty much guarantee you they probably can't pay much anyway!!
