This seems like a win for "civil society". Putting a dent in NSO's secrecy so software makers can patch against it would be a win as long as Whatsapp (Meta) publish their findings publicly and not keep it for themselves to be the next biggest threat to "civil society". Ask a hundred people and probably get a hundred differing answers. Look at Stack Overflow and sites like that where there's always multiple answers. Thankfully there's usually one with a green tick that is likely the best answer. Anyway, you now have it in a nutshell - No data to recover = The point of using Tails (without persistence). There's no such thing as permanent total online anonymity.

If Google is to be chastised for abusing its user base this needs to go beyond boycotts of Chrome browser. It's my hope people stop accepting Google's gaslighting and send the message by quitting all of their services and products. Viable alternatives exist.
