With LibreWolf you also have to trust

Oh yes, they do. Corruption, unrealistic n-year plans and secrecy for example lead to defective products, poor quality and accidents. That's exactly what happened in Chernobyl, and I don't need to tell you how bad that was for the environment.

Lombok will shrink the 200 lines of getters and setters to one or two. It has its own pitfalls of course, but IMO it's definitely worth it.

Ich wollte schon immer mal nach 0737370400133300 fahren, aber 0:3! Wartezeit ist mir dann doch zu viel

I don't doubt it, I just have a problem with the reasoning that something is "natural" and therefore good. It's a common misconception that charlatans use to prey on people.

[-] BlueBockser@programming.dev 4 points 1 year ago

It being natural doesn't mean anything, though. Plenty of naturally dangerous things out there...

There's always the option to get a headphone jack adapter for USB-C. I haven't used one personally yet, but I've heard it to be a viable alternative.

identifying, stalking, and punishing malcontents

This is giving me strong 1984 vibes

flatpak isn't the same because you only have to learn one packaging format and can distribute to virtually any system out there. I really don't see why you'd also package for every distro individually then. Installing flatpak isn't that hard, it not being "the defacto standard" shouldn't be an issue.

Wasabi might also be worth mentioning, a while back I compared S3-compatible storage providers and found them to be cheaper for volumes >1TB. They now seem to be slightly more expensive (5.99$ vs. 5$), but they don't charge for download traffic.
