Police Departments save money (tax money) by trading firearms back to the manufacturers, they then get on sold

Other than the general problem that the US has with firearms, how is this a problem?

Our first daughter had a old smart phone at about 8 (she has just turned 9). It doesn't have data turned on, so is more or less a dumb phone unless she is at home. I don't think her little sister could care less about getting one.

I think that it's good for her to have one as it means she can contact us if she goes up the road to her friends or park/shop.

She doesn't have it for at school or general day to day life - so it may not be the best example

and in the west we have mink farms (europe) and mass swine and chicken farms, we also have (particularly in the Americas?) have industrial farming of beef/milk. All have the potential (and have done in the past) to do the same fast spread and interspecies transmission of diseases.

This strikes as a little anti China/Asia and 'think of the poor foxes and dogs' as why are not 'western' things to farm

I take offence at that, we have a KJV on our book shelf and it is never opened and I certainly don't call my self a fundamentalist Christian, or even a Christian.

It is sitting with the greek myths, british folk law, NZ pre European accounts/trade/culture, and the section with all the language/translation etc
