That's so weird because my house is literally on a lake and I didn't have to get flood insurance. I had to look up all of the flood maps and saw that the chance of flooding is once every 1000 years.

NOAA (I think) updated flood predictions and the flood line moved slightly toward my house. Still no flood insurance required.

You say this as if the next Republican president won't do this.

The best way to fix this is with Biden being the sacrificial lamb.

Basically he executes Trump via executive order, executes the conservative justices, all standing Republicans in the Senate. Then get enough states to pass referendums for a constitutional convention.

Do the overhaul of the constitution, solidifying human rights, separation of church from state, making fascism treason, make billionaires illegal, and, for kicks, universal healthcare.

Hey, don't wake me up from this dream, okay?

Fwiw, I've been prime free now for almost three years. If you batch your orders, you can still get free shipping.

Not only that but if you're looking at a high priced item the manufacturer will often ship it for free at the same price as amazon.

In that case I'd point them to your fork with a link to the PR where they maintainer chose not to include it.

The drama between Chevy and essentially the entire show is just.... absolutely nuts.

The guy could have just cashed his checks. But he wanted to feel power this year.

And now he's going to feel Dan Harmon's power as it surges downward, straight down through Chevy, from nostril to rectum, now through the end of time.

That's what's up.

Revert the code and claim credit for it again. 😜

Many of MAGAs don't even understand that much of the beef industry already has subsidies. From the farm, to the feed, to even the price of beef itself.

But these subsidies aren't doing much to keep the price of beef down.

Open source software literally means that the source code is available to anyone. In GitHub, that just means that your repo is public rather than private.

You can make publicly available any code that is fully under copyright. The reader cannot compile, modify, or redistribute it. It's called "source available".

Open Source has a specific definition that has been tested in court, which means that you are able to make modifications, transform, etc. within the confines of the license that is provided with the code.

There are two types of "free": free as in gratis (free beer) vs free as in libre (free speech). The OSS licenses very clearly dictate by which means that you are free.

Edit: added a source

I think Superstore says it best:

Amy: They're not really gonna replace us! What are they gonna do, find someone who stocks go-backs like Mateo or who works the cash register like Elias?

Myrtle: Yes. Those are both very easy things to do.

The problem is that people generally look down on these types of jobs. Blue collar vs white collar.

Everyone deserves a ~~living~~ thriving wage. You know what's impressive? A cashier who has memorized every produce code whereas I struggle to remember the syntax of a foreach loop and I have to look it up each time. Wtf is a map type?! When did that become a thing?!
