That's so weird because my house is literally on a lake and I didn't have to get flood insurance. I had to look up all of the flood maps and saw that the chance of flooding is once every 1000 years.

NOAA (I think) updated flood predictions and the flood line moved slightly toward my house. Still no flood insurance required.

They can target the code though. They'll inspect the code, find ways to break it, and then kill it that way.

The sooner we can get creators off of YouTube the better.

Yeah, though if any asshole was going to buck tradition, it was going to be Trump.

They are considered official documents so they are subject to FOIA requests. Presidents often release them as a way to show the transition of power. And since Trump refused to even attend the swearing in ceremony....

For a brief moment in history, they sure created a lot of shareholder value.

This was true maybe 20 years ago.

I've been using Linux as my daily driver for a bit longer than that and it's only been recently in the last year I've come across two issues that are preventing me from doing what I want.

Edit: now only one. I solved one of them just now.

That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault. <----- And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did, you deserved it.

That's why. He'll jump to number six after he loses, saying the GOP didn't support him enough and they deserved to lose.

I wonder if the venn diagram of climate change deniers and those who receive significant contributions from the oil lobby is essentially a circle.

I hate to say it but voting is the bare minimum.

  • Vote
  • If you can donate to your candidate or choice, do it.
  • if you can't donate, volunteer.
  • Live in an area where the race is pretty much set due to gerrymandering? Volunteer and donate for other candidates.
  • Don't have time to volunteer? Write to your editor about your candidate.
  • Don't want to write? Send dank memes to people on lemmy encouraging them to vote.

It is when you go to a hipster food truck that charges $15 not including tip.

Source: I go to a lot of food trucks.

I predict in a few months, they will put their API behind a paid tier.

Yeah I rewatched this not too long ago, hoping that running it at 2x speed would make it better. It did for the most part.

I never saw the last season and when I saw it, I found I was right that the show was "How I Met Your Mother, starring Aunt Robin"

I had someone on my team accept a relocation package from my company to move from DC to Texas, right around the abortion ban.

She's a smart woman. And black.

I just couldn't believe she would voluntarily make that move.
