Hah. That was my strategy, but manually.
I need to learn backup tools proper.
Of course, it happens when your data is at its most valuable.

Nah, for all the pain, I still rather be on linux.
Wow, thank you for the guide. I will try it out as soon as I can.
I truly do not generate that much stuff either. I am also not that precious with stuff I do make. I ak pretty sure I have a smaller SSD I can copy the image to, so no spending extra.
Yes, I know loading VSTs are possible, I just need to figure out how.
Dualbooting with separate harddrives will probably be my solution.
That is a good point I have not encountered too often. I don't tend to customize the programs I use. I tend to just learn the defaults for that program.
Anyways, people keep recommending FlatSeal, which is a graphical way to customize Flatpak permissions, so that may be helpful to you.
I usually use the terminal, so that is something I need to make sure of. Otherwise, using the Software Store I can explicitly choose which version to use.
I imagine that is the case. I also feel that is a trifle. Unless one is constantly closing and opening an application they use often, the extra seconds starting should not break a workflow.
Hell yes! Love my laser printer. I have paper to last a lifetime, and I have no qualms about printing stuff out because I can alwasy recycle the paper (make more paper, art projectsz scrap/scratch).
Honestly people, if you don't have one, go to your local Staples or Office Depot (or lets be honest, Amazon) and get yourself one.
I know so many people who do not even own a printer, which is insane. Driving out to Kinkos or FedEx to print out a few pages is dumb. They can be found in thrift stores, and ink or toner can be had for a fraction of the price if you go third-party.
Veganism is a moral philosophy that looks to reduce the suffering and exploitation of all organisms, not just a diet.
Anything can be used as distraction, veganism is not suddenly evil because some assholes adopted and advertise the label.
It is also a mischaracterisation that vegans put the lives of animals over people. It is the case that animals are routinely treated as objects and made to suffer just to satisfy peoples taste buds, or for entertainment, or to wear their corpses. Humans are animals and vegans do not tolerate their suffering or exploitation either.
It is obvious the distraction has worked on you. Veganism does not whitewash anything. People are not stupid. Not everyone is going to risk getting killed by speaking out against atrocities in their own back yard. If they cared they would have done so already.
Lucky me most of the important stuff are things I have on another computer, or can redownload from email or whatever service that needed it.
But my new passwords.... oh well. Recovery is typically easy.
What sucks is losing things you did not know you would need or miss until much later.
